Personality Disorders
So this year includes a course in Psychiatry.
Recently, we discussed personality disorders, and a few people I know came to mind.
"excessive orderliness, perfectionism, preoccupation with lists and rules, need for control; rigid, stubborn, overconscientious and devoted to work, unwilling to delegate"
Now who might I be talking about? Any guesses?
There is also the "suspicious, distrustful, guarded, grudge-bearing"
Hmmm..... Anyone, anyone?
Patients with personality disorders are often "ego-syntonic". That is, they view other people as having problems, not themselves.
Caveat: I'm just kidding. Everyone has some traits of personality disorders. That doesn't mean they actually have one.
Well, I'm off to misdiagnose some more people.
