Typical...

For me at least. I finally have time to sit and try to write something on this page, and as usual, I really don't have anything interesting to tell you about.

I should say thanks to everyone at Station 4 for having me over for spaghetti. It was delicious, as usual.

Speaking of visiting, I have to confess that every time I'm in Janesville and visit, I usually leave wanting to quit med school and try to get my old job back.

Then reality sets in, and I realize that I have to continue trudging through the morass of reading that is the first two years of medical education. I'm really looking forward to next year at this time. USMLE Step 1 will be out of the way, and I'll actually be able to see patients (which is why I'm here in the first place).

Everyone I've talked to recently has told me that second year is more interesting, so hopefully that will turn out to be true. I have pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, and some other minor classes this year, which sound interesting and "medical", but so did neuroscience. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

By the way, Steve, I saw you in your jeep last saturday by palmer park. I waved at you, you looked confused, and kept driving.

Well, that's it for now. I have to go check on my exciting experiment. Woo-freaking-hoo.

Don, you won't have to get your old job back, you can come back as the medical director. Why didn't you flag me down in the park, I would have taken you down for a Charlie burger and a beer. Next time.
