Dear political parties...

All of you (Right, Left, Green, whatever).

Your mail isn't working, I throw it away. Please save a tree.

Your TV ads are background noise I ignore. Please save your money.

I can't even comment on your radio ads because Apple computer invented the iPod, and made radio obsolete.

I'll cast my vote when the time comes, but you won't have bought it with all of your spending. I will make an informed decision, and my voice will be heard.

Oh yeah, I have this thing to write on...

So I'd better write something new. Life here is the same as ever. Boring. The football game was a great time. It was really good to get away and have some fun.

My first semester of med school is half over. Things are going well. I feel a bit confused this week, but the material we are covering is a little disjointed, and I have to put it together and make sense of it.

My yard is covered with leaves, and I'm going to have to rake them someday. I refuse to do it more than once though, so I'm letting them pile up until they all fall off.

With luck, it will snow before I can get around to raking, and I just won't have to do it.

Well, I'm off to learn more about amino acid degradation.

Definitely on top of it.

Well, our second round of exams is past, and things went very well for me.
Otherwise, it's just more of the same. Just less stress now.

I'm going to the badger game this weekend with the brothers. That should be a good time. Haven't seen those guys in a while and I'm looking forward to it.

Otherwise not much new, just the fact that I kick ass.

Edit: I really am a humble person most of the time.

Or am I under it?

I don't know. Biochem is on friday, and I'm spending obscene hours studying for it right now. Plus, it looks pretty nice outside too.

So if you are reading this, you must be bored. Go outside and play, because I can't.

This weekend I will, that's for sure. Krissy and I are going to door county to get Honeycrisp apples. If you've had them, you know what I'm talking about. They are to apples what krispy kremes are to donughts.

Okay, time to get back to work.

On top of it.

I seem to be on top of anatomy. At least I'm not worried about it at all. At any rate, things seem to be going well. By tomorrow, I'll be about halfway done with a tough week of exams, and I'll actually be able to go and enjoy a free weekend.
I have decided on one thing though. Taking breaks from studying is just as important as spending long hours studying. I seem to be making better use of my time, and am able to sort what I need to know from all of the fluff the professors are throwing in.

I have been missing work quite a bit lately. I never realized how much I identified myself as a firefighter until I wasn't one anymore. It was something in my life that really had purpose. I knew that every day was going to be fun, different, with the off chance that I might actually make a difference in someone's life.

Um, not much new today.

I was talking with a friend yesterday, and he had a good example of how life is in block II of M1 ad MCW. It's a little big like the movie Groundhog day. You get up, go to class, study, and go to sleep. Then you wake up and do it all over again. It gets a little monotonous, but the good news (for me at least) is that it is almost over.
Another good thing is that I have a pretty good handle on the material. I could use some time to get more details packed into my (hurting) brain, but if I had to take the exam today, I think I would do allright.

I am definitely looking forward to the weekend after exams though. It is my first truly free weekend in two months. I have nothing to study for, and nothing to worry about.
To be honest, I probably wouldn't study for anything that weekend even if I had to. I'm sure I'll be mentally spent by then.

But things are good in general, and the semester is nearly half over.

Cold, rainy and studying.

Other than it being cold outside, I guess there is nothing new with how my days go. The good thing is that I am feeling like I have a grasp on most of the material we are being deluged with. But still, never enough time in the day to get what I want done.
But it's not so bad. Maybe I'm actually getting used to this.
